- On March 28, 2017; “National tribal and north east art conclave -2017” was inaugurated by Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Minister of State for Culture and Tourism (Independent Charge).
- The 7-day conclave was organized from 28 March to 4 April, 2017 at the Lalit Kala Akademi in New Delhi.
- It has been organized by the Lalit Kala Akademi (under the Ministry of Culture), New Delhi.
- During the conclave, more than 12 styles of tribal art were exhibited.
- During the program, leather painting was exhibited mainly by the Cheriyal painter of Telangana, the miniature painting of south India, the Patachitra art of Odisha, the fresco painting of Rajasthan, along with the artists of Bhil, Mina and Andhra Pradesh.
