  • On April 30, 2018 Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar approved the proposal related to the adoption of startup ranking issued by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion.
  • Under this clearance, the Haryana Government will adopt the startup ranking framework issued by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (SIPP) to assess the state on key areas of intervention related to healthy startup ecosystem.
  • The startup ranking framework is spread across seven areas of interventions with a total of 38 action points and overall score of 100 marks.
  • Under the framework, out of 38 action points, 21 action points requires submission of supporting documents, one action point requires only stakeholder feedback and 16 action points required both components for the assessment of state star-up initiatives
  • Under the State Government of Haryana, all departments have been directed to present documentary evidence to the Department of Electronic and Information Technology, regarding any initiative taken by them in respect of seven areas defined under this framework.
  • It is known that last year Haryana State Government launched Entrepreneur and Start-Up Policy during the Digital Haryana Summit, 2017.
