- On 02-03, December2016; Prime Minister of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Abdullah was on a visit to India.
- This is the first visit of Sheikh Abdullah to India and the third high-level bilateral engagement between the two countries in the past two years.
- India-Qatar cooperation in diverse sectors has been steadily growing in an excellent framework provided by historically close ties and regular and substantive engagement, including at the highest levels of the two Governments.
- The visit of Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to India in March 2015 was followed by visit of Prime Minister Modi to Qatar this June.
- Not only an important trading partner for India in the Gulf region, Qatar is also the largest supplier of LNG to it, accounting for 66 per cent of the total imports in 2015-16.

- II.Protocol on Technical Cooperation in cyber space and combating cyber crime between the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of India and the Ministry of Interior of the State of Qatar.
- III.Letter of Intent between the Government of the Republic of India and the Government of the State of Qatar regarding negotiations on an Agreement on grant of e-Visa for businessmen and tourists of the two countries.
- IV.MoU between Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy of Qatar and Confederation of Indian Industry.
