- On January 25th, 2018, Khadi and Village Industries Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Satyadev Pachauri inaugurated the 15-day state-level Khadi and Village Industries Exhibition organized in the Children’s Museum Lawn (Charbagh), Lucknow.
- This exhibition has been organized by the U.P. Khadi and Village Industries Board.
- The aim of organizing this exhibition is to encourage the idea of ’One District One Product’.
- It is known that by the previous government, only 10 percent rebate arrangements were made on the sale of Khadi textiles, which was valid for 108 working days from 2 October.
- The present government has increased the system of 10% rebate on the sale of Khadi textiles to 15%, which will be applicable throughout the year instead of 108 working days.
- Of which 5 percent will be provided directly to the knitters and weavers.
