- On 15 February 2016 Lyricist Sameer Anjaan (Shitala Pandey) has entered the Guinness Book of World Records for penning the most prolific number of songs in Bollywood.
- With this, Sameer has also become the first ever lyricist to enter the Guinness Book of World Records.
- His name was included in the Guinness Book at an event that was organised at hotel Sun N Sand in Mumbai.
- Sameer, who has been penning songs for the last 30 years and written 3,524 songs for 650 films, No other film lyricist has written this many songs so far.
- Though there was no such category in Guinness, but when the team was conducting research in Mumbai, it was found that Sameer had written most number of songs. A new category was then created and Sameer’s name was included in it.
