- The production of coal by Coal India Limited (CIL) has been 567.36 MT in 2017-18 as compared to 462.41 MT in the same period for the year 2013-14.
- Coal off take/ sale from CIL have increased to 580.28 MT in 2017-18 from 471.58 MT in 2013-14. Actual coal based power generation has been about 659 Billion units against the total Coal based power Generation program of 663.60 Billion units and achieving 99.2% materialization of program registering a growth of 5.5% over last year same period.
- During April-November, 2018, all India coal production in India was 433.90 MT having a growth rate of 9.8% and the coal production by CIL was 358.32 MT having growth rate of 8.8% over the corresponding period of previous year.
- CIL supplied 315.94 MT of coal for generation of electricity by domestic coal based power plants during April-Nov 2018 enabling the generation of 605.01 BU domestic coal based power plants which was 101% of program generation. The supply of coal has increased by 8% as compared to 291.78MT in the corresponding period last year.
- CEA report on coal stock at Power House end reveals that as on 25.12.2018 is 15.86 MT as against the stock of 12.92 MT on 25.12.2017 thereby registering an increase of 22.75%.
