- On 20 September 2016 “Paryavaran Bhawan” located in CGO Complex, New Delhi has been renamed as Pandit Deendayal Antyodaya Bhawan.
- M. Venkaiah Naidu, Union Minister for Urban Development, Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation and Information & Broadcasting along with Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Minister of State for Minority Affairs (Independent Charge) and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs unveiled the new name Plaque of the Building .
- Earlier, the Ministry of Environment and Forests was a major occupant of the Building and therefore, it was appropriately called ‘Paryavaran Bhawan’.
- Decision to re-name the building as Pt. Deendayal ‘Antyodaya Bhawan’ has been taken to highlight the Antyodaya Philosophy of Pt. Deendayal.
- 2016 is Pt. Deendayalji’s birth centenary year.
