- According to press release on 12 July 2016, Society of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE) hosted by Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT-B) signed amemorandum of understanding(MoU)with Sate Bank of India to promote innovation by startups in the financial sector.
- SBI has commenced a strategic initiative to promote Innovation by engaging with Start-ups in FinTech area, through funding, procurement and co-innovation under a special window.
- The MoU was signed at SBI’s Global IT Centre on 7th July 2016 by Prof.Devang Khakhar, Director, IIT Bombay and Mrutyunjay Mahapatra Dy. Managing Director & Chief Information Officer of SBI.
- This MoU, a first of its kind in India will help evaluation of start-ups.
