- On June 5th, 2018, on the occasion of World Environment Day, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan launched a solar powered electric car in Bhopal (in the ministry).
- With the launch, the operation of e-vehicle started in the state.
- This electric car will be charged with solar energy and once it is charged it will run till 140 km.
- From this car the cost of travel per km will be only 80 paisa.
