  • On 9 October 2016 Minister for Women and Child Development Madhya Pradesh, Archana Chitnis announced that “Lalima” Abhiyan will be launched in the state to make children, girls and women free of anemia problem from November 1.
  • Free iron folic acid tablets will be provided in aaganbadis, academic institutions and hospitals during the campaign.
  • In this subject, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has urged the Union Minister for Health Jagat Prasad Nadda through letter to distribute ferrous escorbate tablets in place of ferrous sulphate tablets.
  • Lalima Abhiyan will be conducted on Mission-Mode in the state.
