  • On April 10th, 2017 Central Hindi Institute (Agra) announced to give Hindi Seva Samman for year 2015.
  • Central Hindi Institute, (Agra) is an international educational institute working for the teaching, training, research and multi-dimensional development of Hindi and as foreign language under the Department of Higher Education (Language Division) of the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
  • It is operated by ‘Central Hindi Shikshan Mandal’ an autonomous organization.
  • Under ‘All India Hindi Seva Samman Yojana’, started in 1989,14 Hindi Sevi scholars who have made significant contributions in various fields have been honored every year under seven separate award categories till the year 2014.
  • The award consists 1 lakh rupees, shawls and citations are rendered by president on behalf of institute.
  • From year 2015, the number of award categories has been increased from 7 to 12 and the prize money from Rs 1 lakh to 5 lakh, whereas the number of scholars has increased to 26.
