- On March 6th, 2018, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday launched ‘ IMPRINT India’, an Rs 1,000-crore project to kickstart original research in areas where the country is dependent on foreign technology.
- IMPRINT India program was started in 2015.
- This program is a joint initiative of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc).
