- It was jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, Maharashtra Government, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Service Export Promotion Council (SEPC).
- On 15 May, 2018, President Ramnath Kovind inaugurated this exhibition.
- On this occasion, he launched a portal on 12 champions areas of service sector.
- He said that the launch of 12 champions areas is a bold new step which will make significant contributions to India as well as in the global economy and create jobs.
- About 500 representatives from around 100 countries participated in this global exhibition.
