  • On October 8, 2017, Chief Minister of Punjab Province (Pakistan), Shahbaza Sharif inaugurated the first set of coaches and engine from China for the Pakistan’s first metro project (Lahore Orange Line Metro).
  • This project has been started with the help of China.
    Orange Line Metro project is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
  • Completion of this project will provide modern, safe, fast and affordable transportation facilities to the passengers.
  • Approximately 0.25 million passenger will travel daily through this.

  • This metro train has been built by China’s CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Company Limited.
  • The company has installed the system to handle energy saving air-conditioning systems and volatile energy supply in five coaches engaged in the train.
