- On 23 December, 2016; Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan inagurated Chhaigaon lift irrigation scheme.
- The programme was held near Chhaigaon Krishi Mandi of District Khandwa.
- This lift irrigation scheme has been made by the Narmada Valley Development Authority at the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Chouhan.
- Moreover, the scheme will provide irrigation facility to the farmers who are deprived off irrigation facility from the Indira Sagar Irrigation Project on account of its geographical situation.
