- On 3 August 2016 Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has successfully commissioned the second 500 MW thermal units at Marwa Thermal Power Station in Chhattisgarh.
- Located in Janjgir-Champa district of Chhattisgarh, Marwa TPS has been set up by Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Ltd. (CSPGCL).
