- On April 4th, 2018, The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has been apprised of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the Federal Transport Authority – Land & Maritime of the United Arab Emirates on Technical Cooperation in Rail Sector.
- The MoU was signed on 10th February, 2018.
- The MoU will enable technical cooperation in the areas of : Regulation, safety and technical investigation of accidents; Station redevelopment; Locomotives, coaches and wagons; and Any other area jointly identified by the Participants.
- High speed corridor in identified areas of additional cooperation of other areas, increase in speed on existing routes, development of world-class stations, modernization of Indian transport operations and rail infrastructure.
