- On the Republic day, Kamal Nath, Chief Minister (CM) of Madhya Pradesh, announced the launch of the Yuva Swabhiman Yojana for the youths from the economically weaker sections in urban areas in Chhindwara.
- Under this scheme, 100 days of employment will be provided to youths from economically weaker sections in urban areas.
- Mr Kamal Nath informed that from April 1st, social security pension will be raised to Rs 600, from Rs 300 to Rs 600 and every year the amount will be raised and by the end of 5th year, it will reach Rs 1000.
