- Information regarding this, UNGA’s decision has been given by India’s Permanent Ambassador to United Nations, T S Tirumurti.
- India has described the decision as historic, saying it will help provide a well-defined cooperation between the alliance and the United Nations.
- Tirumurti expressed the hope; ISA will now drive global energy growth and development.
- According to the ISA website, a total of 80 countries have signed and ratified the ISA draft agreement and 101 countries have signed the agreement only.
- Tirumurti said that ISA has become an example of positive global climate action through partnerships to benefit global energy production.

- The fourth general assembly of the International Solar Alliance (ISA), was held earlier in October 2021.
