- Swayangsiddha means self-reliance. This initiative is launched by West Bengal Police to combat the menace of child trafficking and child marriage which is very much prevalent in West Bengal.
- Swayangsiddha means self-reliance. It envisions empowering young girls and boys with knowledge and skills so that they are aware, alert, able to make informed choices and are less vulnerable to violation and abuse of their rights. It aims to combat human trafficking and prevent child marriage.
- Swayangsiddha Groups have been formed in schools and colleges with interested students in the age group of 12 to 21years. This group consists of 69% girls and 31% boys. 200 Teachers of different have chosen as mentors of this group.
- Child Protection Committee is monitoring and guiding these groups.
