- On October 11, 2017, Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the ‘Sankalp Seva’ (Bus Service) of UP Transport Corporation.
- On this occasion he flagged off 50 buses.
- To provide better facilities to the common man, all the unnerved villages of the state are being connected to the Sankalp bus service.
- It is known that transport services were available only in 59 thousand 560 villages in 98 thousand Inhabited villages of the state after the present government came to rule.
- In order to facilitate bus services to the unnerved villages, the transport corporation were entrusted with the goal of providing transport services to 38, 254 unserved villages.
- Phase-wise action has been taken to provide transport facilities to 9 563 villages for each year for this work.
- In the same sequence, till November 2017, the target of connecting 9 thousand 563 villages with transport services has been fixed for the year 2017-18.
- The 4 thousand 766 villages have been linked with transport service through the available resources in the 6 months tenure of the present government.
