  • This step came in the wake of a report of comptroller and auditor general (CAG)
  • The railway has also reduced flexi-fares from 1.5 to 1.4 times the base ticket fare in 101 trains.
  • To increase the occupancy of less patronized classes (2A, 3A, CC etc.), Graded discount of 20% and 10% in the train fare will be given according to the preset rules.
