- On 14th January 2019,Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling launched the “One Family One Job scheme” in Gangtok.
- The scheme envisions employment to a member of every family in the State who does not have a government job in the state.
- At a “Rojgar Mela” (employment fair) organized at the Paljor stadium, about 20,000 unemployed youths were given temporary appointment letters.
