- On 22nd October 2019, Braj Raj Sharma has been appointed as Chairman of one of the country’s biggest recruiting agency Staff Selection Commission(SSC).
- He is a 1984 batch IAS officer of Jammu & Kashmir cadre.
- Prior to this, he remained Chief Secretary of J&K and was presently serving as Secretary,Department of Border Management,Ministry of Home Affairs.
