- On 31 august 2021; agreement for acquiring Naval Anti Drone System (NADS) was signed in the presence of senior officers of BEL, DRDO and Indian Navy.
- With this agreement, Indian Navy has now secured the deal for the supply of NADS with Bharat Electronics Limited(BEL)
- The agreement covers mobile and static versions of the NADS system, the mobile version is mounted on a truck.
- This will be the first indigenous Anti Drone System (NADS) with hard and soft killer capabilities to be acquired by the Indian Navy.
- The Naval Anti Drone System (NADS) has been developed by Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and India Electronics Ltd.
