China hosted the first Brazil-Russia-India-China-South Africa (BRICS) media summit in Beijing from 30 November to 1 December 2015.
The theme of the summit was “Innovation, Development, Cooperation and Trust” .
BRICS media summit aims to promote cooperation between the media of BRICS countries and increase the role the media to enhance international partnership.
A total of 25 media organizations participated from BRICS nation.
China’s Xinhua news agency has been the initiator of the project in collaboration with The Hindu group of publications, the Brazil Communication Company, Russia Today International News Agency, and South Africa’s Independent Media.
