What is NAD : - The National Academic Depository (NAD) is an initiative of ministry of human resource development to maintain a national-level database of all academic qualifications from secondary school certificate to university and professional certificates.
- NAD will remove the need to physically approach the educational institutions to obtain attestations of certificates and will facilitate online verification and easy retrieval of academic records.
- The database would also help in dealing with issues of forged certificates since it enables online verification.
