Election Results –
Assam

  • In Assam’s 126-member assembly, Bharatiya Janata Party has won the most 60 seats.
  • Indian National Congress won 29 seats, All India United Democratic Front won 16 seats, Asom Gana Parishad 9 seats, United People’s Party Liberal 6 seats, Bodoland Peoples Front 4 seats, Communist Party of India (Marxist) 1 seat and an Independent 1 seat.
  • Bharatiya Janata Party has garnered highest 33.21% vote percentage share.
  • Himanta Biswa Sarma was sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Assam on May 10.

Kerala

  • Of the 140 member constituent Assembly in Kerala,Communist Party of India (Marxist) won 62 seats.
  • Among other major parties, the Indian National Congress got 21 seats, the Communist Party of India got 17 seats and the Indian Union Muslim League got 15 seats.

Puducherry

  • Out of 30 assembly seats of the Union Territory of Puducherry, the All India N.R. Congress won highest 10 seats while the Bharatiya Janata Party got 6 seats.
  • Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam won 6 seats,Indian National Congress 2 seats and Independents secured 6 seats.

Tamil Nadu

  • Of the 234-member assembly seats in Tamil Nadu, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam won the highest 133 seats.
  • Among other major parties, the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam won 66 seats, Indian National Congress 18 seats and Bharatiya Janata Party secured 4 seats.
  • On 7 May 2021, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam(DMK) leader MK Stalin sworn-in as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.

West Bengal

  • The results to West Bengal were declared for 292 seats out of the 294 assembly seats.

  • All India Trinamool Congress won the highest 213 seats.
  • Among other parties,Bharatiya Janata Party got 77 seats, Rashtriya Secular Majlis Party got 1 and an independent won the seat.
