- On 2nd April, 2017; Under the Ujwal DISCOM Assurance Yojana (UDAY), a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Government of India and the Government of Mizoram to improve the operation of the power distribution department.
- At present, the number of States / UTs getting involved in this scheme is 27.
- In the period of this change, due to the inclusion of Uday Yojana through cheap fund, reduction in AT & C and reduction in transmission loss, energy efficiency etc., this state will get a net profit of about Rs.198 crores.
