- On June 22, 2017 A Memorandum of Understanding was signed in New Delhi between the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) and the Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) to fulfill the housing mission for all till 2022.
- In order to achieve this vision, the EPFO amended the Employees Provident Fund Scheme (EPF) on April 12, 2017 through the budget notification number GSR 351 (E).
- There is a provision for EPF members to assist them in taking the house by allowing clearance of 90 percent of the total collected provident fund amount.
- The objective of the scheme is to provide assistance for the construction of houses for those unified personnel who are associated with the housing programs of central and state governments.
