  •  On 16 February 2016 West Bengal government launched Utkarsh Bangla Scheme at the Netaji Indoor Stadium in Kolkata.
  •  The scheme was launched by the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata. On this occasion, she also released a book on Utkarsh Bangla.
  •  Utkarsha Bangla is aimed at giving vocational training to school dropouts.
  •  The Vocational Education Department would be in charge of implementing the scheme.
  •  Under this scheme each youth will get training ranging from 400 to 1200 hours. The school-dropouts will be trained free of charge in tailoring, driving, repairing television and other electronic equipment and beauty courses etc. and on completion the courses beneficiaries will be given Certificates would be given to the beneficiaries.
  • Polytechnic and ITI training to 6 lakh students every year will be provided under the scheme.
  • During the inauguration programme, she said that in the last four years, state administration has trained 15 lakh boys and girls in vocational streams. Out of which about 10 lakh secured jobs.
  •  Along with Utkarsh Bangla she also inaugurated the Kolkata campus of Amity University and launched the ‘Online Single-Window Clearance System’ portal for industrial projects.
  • Some of the companies that will provide employment under the scheme are Samsung, Raymond, Berger Paints, Maruti Suzuki, ASSOCHAM (gems and jewellery), and Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations of India(CREDAI).

  1. We have a Skill Development Center (A Registered N.G.O.) (space 1500 sq office, computer lab, beautician lab, food processing lab , hand embroidery & tailoring lab,art & craft, handicraft , class room,wash room).If any gov. scheme is appropriate for our center, I will grateful to you.
