  • Ms. Kant will be the first woman CFO of the Bank.
  • Ms Kant will be responsible for financial and risk management of the organisation.
  • Her work will include oversight of financial reporting, risk management, and working closely with the World Bank CEO on the mobilization of the International Development Association (IDA) and other financial resources.
  • IDA (International Development Association) is the part of the World Bank that helps the world’s poorest countries.

Role as CFO:

  • The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for providing leadership for the following Bank functions: institutional planning and budgeting; financial planning and policy; risk assessment and management; market fund-raising, investment, cash management, and liability management; resource mobilization; financial controls and reporting; and pension fund management.
