  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been conferred the King Hamad Order of the Renaissance by Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa in Manama, capital of Bahrain.
  • He was conferred Bahrain’s highest honour during his visit to the gulf country on 24-25 August 2019.
  • With this honour, the count of international awards to PM Modi rose to seven since his office assumption in 2014.
  • PM Modi arrived in Manama on the third leg of his three-nation tour to France, the UAE and Bahrain. He was received at the airport by Prince Khalifa.
