  • A new Union Council of Ministers was formed on 31st May, 2019 after the landslide victory for the BJP led NDA in the 17th General Election allowing them to form the 2nd consecutive NDA government.
  • The swearing in ceremony took place on 30th May, 2019 in the Rashtrapati Bhawan where Narendra Modi took oath as the Prime Minister of India along with other ministers of the cabinet.
  • A total of 57 people took oath as Ministers in which 24 people took oath as the Cabinet Minister, 24 as Minister of State and 9 as Minister of State (Independent Charge).
