  • Minster of Civil Aviation, Suresh Prabhu inaugurated India’s first Geographical Indication (GI) store in at Dabolim International Airport in Goa.
  • The store will display and sell original and authentic products of Goa recognized as GIs under the Geographical Indication of Goods (Registration and Protection) Act, 1999.
  • This stall will be promoting the cashews and other specific products of Goa. The GI store has been set up by the Cashew Export Promotion Council of India (CEPCI).
  • All the 101 airports of the country will have GI Stall. These GI stalls will promote products made by local artisans and talents.
