- The Raisina Dialogue is a multilateral conference held annually in New Delhi. Since its inception in 2016, the conference has emerged as India’s flagship conference on geopolitics and geo-economics.
- The conference is hosted by the Observer Research Foundation, an independent think tank, in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs of India.
- The conference is structured as a multi-stakeholder, cross-sectoral discussion, involving a variety of global policymakers including heads of state, cabinet ministers and local government officials.
- The Dialogue also welcomes major private sector executives, as well as members of the media and academia.
- The name “Raisina Dialogue” comes from Raisina Hill, an elevation in New Delhi, seat of the Government of India, as well as the Presidential Palace of India, Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Raisina Dialogue 2020:
- It brings together 700 international participants from over a 100 countries, of which 80 are from Africa, in one of the largest gathering of its kind. A remarkable 40% of the Speakers was women, emphasising our commitment to gender equality.
- The Dialogue had high level participation from 12 Foreign Ministers including the Foreign Ministers of Russia, Iran, Australia, Maldives, South Africa, Estonia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Hungary, Latvia, Uzbekistan and EU.
Highlights of Raisina 2020:
- India & Finland signed Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) in order to enhance cooperation in the field of production, procurement, research and development in defence sector.
- ‘Green Strategic Partnership’ with Denmark foreign minister was explored.
- 20th anniversary of partnership between India and Russia has been celebrated.
- Former heads of international governments with rich experience in governance were engaged in discussion on the important challenges in the world like climate change and counter-terrorism etc.
