- On December 14th, 2017 Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat launched ‘Ujala Mitra’ scheme in Dehradun on Energy Conservation Day.

- E.S.L. has signed the MOU with the members of the women self-help groups from different districts of the state In order to cooperate with the women self-help groups working in rural and urban areas for the distribution of10 million L.E.D. bulbs Under the Ujala program.
- Distribution of LED bulbs and energy efficient devices will be done by women self-help groups working in urban and rural areas in the state.
