  • In view of facilitating all services in train regarding Train Captain Concept, Ministry of Railways issued instructions on 9 August 2018.
  • On board Train captain will coordinate entire team for all sort of guidance, assistance and grievance redressal related to passengers. It is a single window facility.
  • In trains like Rajdhani/Duranto/Shatabdi Train Superintendents (TS) will be made Train captain and will be responsible for all passenger related services.
  • In all other trains where TS is not present, Zonal Railways have to nominate their most senior ticket checking staff as Train Captain.
  • Passengers are facilitated with Railway Helpline No. 138 so that they can concern with associated official regarding their problems.
