  • Under the Youth Exchange Programme conducted by Department of Youth Affairs, nominations are invited form reputed institutions viz. IITs, IIMs, NITs, AIIMs, NSS, NYKS, RGNIYD, National Youth Awardees etc from 13 December 2018.
  • Under the International Youth Exchange Programme, youths from India are sent to a few friendly countries and vice-versa for promoting exchange of ideas, values and culture amongst the youth of different countries and also to develop International understanding.
  • The objective of this programme is to create an International perspective in the youth and to involve them in promoting peace and understanding.
  • After finalization of dates for exchange programmes with the partnering countries, the delegates visiting a particular country are finalized after short listing names from the nomination received, depending upon the requirement of the programme.
  • The number of youth/students sent to other countries in year 2017-18 was 367 whereas in 2018-Till, 282 youths are sent in the partner countries.
