- The NITI Aayog (National Institute for Transforming India), named ‘Strategy for New India @ 75’ constituting the goals and aims to be taken up for the future of Economy till 2022-23. This has the objective for the establishment of the Prime minister`s envisioned New India by 2022 i.e. 75 years of independence.
- Over 800 stakeholders from within the government – central, state and district levels – and about 550 external experts were consulted during the preparation of the document. It aimed to accelerate growth rate to achieve 8% growth of economy over the period 2018-23 turning India into a $4- trillion economy by 2022-23. This will further be expanded to $5-trillion by 2030.
