Election Commission of India:·

  • The term of the Chief Election Commissioner is of 6 years or till the age of 65, whichever is earlier.

  • The Chief Election Commissioner can be removed from office only through impeachment by Parliament.·
  • It is worth to note that Sukumar Sen was the first Chief Election Commissioner of India.
