  • On June 6th, 2018, in connection with the return of Rohingya Muslims, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Myanmar and United Nations agencies.
  • This agreement will help in returning 7 lakh Rohingya Muslims who left the country due to the atrocities of security forces in Myanmar.
  • Rohingya Muslims living in temporary camps can return to Bangladesh with this agreement.
  • Under this agreement, it was agreed to formulate a framework of cooperation between the two parties with object to create conditions for voluntary, safe, respectable and permanent return to Rohingya refugees.
