  • Veteran afghan born Indian-Canadian actor and screen writer Kader Khan passed away on 31st December in Canada. He was admitted at a private hospital due to prolonged ailments and was kept on ventilator. He was 81 years old.
  • However he was a very versatile actor and has enacted many kind of roles but he was mostly remembered for her comic character roles especially in collaboration with actor Govinda during 90s. He was born in Kabul, Afghanistan in 1937 in an ethnic pashtun of the kakar tribe.
  • He made his acting debut with Daag of Rajesh Khanna in 1973 and went on to feature in more than 300 films. He also worked as a dilogue writer in over 250 movies.
  • He also had collaborations with Manmohan Desai and Prakash Mehra as a screenwriter including movies like Dharam Veer, Ganga Jamuna Saraswati, Sharaabi, Lawaarisand many more. Many prominent actors of Bollywood paid homage to him. PM and President expressed grief on his demise.
