- September 16, 2015 the”International Ozone Layer Protection Day”was celebrated worldwide for the protection of the ozone layer in the atmosphere.
- The theme for the celebration was- ‘30 years of healing the Ozone together’.
- This was supported by slogan- ‘Ozone: All there is between you UV’.
- This day commemorates the Montreal Protocol that was signed in 1987, to limit and ultimately phase out the production of man-made chemicals like chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and 95 other ozone-depleting materials.
