- This was First ever Asia Pacific Computer Emergency Response Team (APCERT) Conference in India and South Asia.
- The conference theme is “Building Trust in the Digital Economy”.
- Conference was organized by The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) under the aegis of Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology.
- This will be inaugurated by Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, Minister of Electronics & Information Technology.
- It is expected to be attended by 21 economies and over 300 cyber security professionals from the Asia Pacific region, USA, Europe, Industry, Academia, Government and Media.
- Last year this conference was organized from 24-27 October 2016 in Tokyo, Japan.
- The organisation was established in February 2003 with the objective of encouraging and supporting the activities of CERTs/CSIRTs in the region.
