- It is noteworthy that India will host the next (8th) IEF Ministerial Meeting in New Delhi on April 10-12, 2018.
- The last edition (6th) of Asian Ministerial Energy Roundtable was held at Doha in 2015.
- In previous AMER events, IEF Ministershave recognized their interdependence and placed an emphasis on the need for trust and dialogue in building and sustaining partnerships.
- The 7th IEF Ministerial Meeting will build upon these outcomes to strengthen established partnerships and forge new bonds accordingly.

- IEF was established in July 1991.
