  • BSNL has partnered with French company Be-Bound to offer data connectivity through SMS in area where there is no internet connectivity or weak signal.
  • Both the companies signed business partnership agreement on January 23rd to jointly market the service in India. The technology will be embedded in mobile applications.
  • The app will send command to Be-Bound server in case it does not get data connectivity for SMS-based connectivity. Be-Bound servers will aid SMS connectivity after getting command from the app.
  • The app will also send SMS from user’s account because for connectivity we need to SMS to and fro. There is a limit for 100 SMS per day per subscriber.
  • Be-Bound has commercially launched the service in France and is running a pilot in African countries as well.
