  • On March 5th, 2018, the Central Government constituted the Steering Committee to consider various issues related to the development of Finitech (Financial Technology) sector in India.
  • It will be headed by the Secretary of the Department of Economic Affairs.
  • Other members of the committee include Secretary, Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Secretary, Department of Financial Services (DFS), Secretary, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Chairman, Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC), Chief Executive Officer, Indian Special Identification Authority, Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India and Joint Secretary (Investment), Department of Economic Affairs.
