- On November 9, 2017; the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, inaugurated a series of connectivity projects between India and Bangladesh in Kolkata.
- Chief Minister of West Bengal, Ms. Mamata Banerjee and the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of the Bangladesh jointly participated in this event of inauguration via video conference.
