  • On May 30th, 2018, National Mines Development Corporation (NMDC) Limited and NLC India Limited (formerly Neyveli Lignite Corporation) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Australia’s Environment Clean Technologies for cooperation in research and development.
  • This MOU was signed in Canberra, Australia.
  • Its aim is to set up Research and Development (R & D) facility in Tamil Nadu.
  • The goal of this MoU is to develop jointly low emission iron and steel process through an integrated Coldry-Mamtor plant to be built in India.
